The house

A publisher takes a manuscript and turns it into a record that lasts.

That is the whole job. Authors do the research. We do everything between a submitted file and a permanent, citable, freely readable article: desk checks, plagiarism screening, double-blind review, copy-editing, typesetting, licensing, registration and long-term archiving.

Tamuz Publishing House was founded in Baghdad in 2024 and is directed by Dr. Mustafa Musa. We are small on purpose. A new publisher earns trust one issue at a time, and the only way to do that is to be slow where it matters and open about everything else — who reviewed, what was decided, what it costs and what you are allowed to do with the work afterwards.

We are not looking to publish a great many journals. We are looking to publish good ones.

Proposing a new title. If you are an editorial team looking for a publisher — in any field, not only computing — we have capacity. The director reads every proposal himself. Write to him.

Standards

What we commit to, in plain terms.

  • Open access

Every article is free to read from the day it appears. No subscription, no embargo, no paywall, no institutional login. If you can find it, you can read it.

  • Copyright stays with you

Articles are published under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0. Authors keep their copyright. Anyone may copy, share, translate and build on the work — including commercially — provided the authors are credited.

  • Double-blind review

Reviewers do not know who wrote the paper and authors do not know who reviewed it. The decision belongs to the editors, not to the publisher, and not to anyone who has paid us.

  • Nothing to submit, nothing to review

There is no submission fee and no review fee. An article processing charge is raised only after a paper has been accepted, and the amount is stated before you submit.

  • A link that still works in ten years

Crossref DOI registration is in progress. Every article will carry a permanent identifier and be deposited for long-term archiving, so it stays findable if this website ever does not.

  • Publication ethics

Every submission is screened for plagiarism before it reaches a reviewer. Corrections and retractions are published in the open, and complaints about an editorial decision go to the director.

Contact
